Netherlands 'Change'
Historically, the interference screw has been the fixation device of choice for ACL reconstruction. Interference screws offer a simple insertion technique, adequate strength, and provide aperture fixation.
Another fixation method for soft tissue graft in the tibia has been the use of a bi-cortical screw and washer positioned distal to the tibial tunnel. This method of fixation depends on cortical rather than cancellous bone and also allows circumferential healing of the graft.
The CentraLoc™ device has the strength and stiffness of a distal screw and washer, while providing aperture fixation and circumferential healing; all with a simple insertion process.
