A Trochanteric Customizable Nail Designed with Safety and Flexibility in Mind
Features:
Addresses pediatric femur fractures in children approximately eight to fifteen years of age where internal fixation with control of length and rotation is desired
Small proximal geometry (8.5mm) and entry point in the lateral greater trochanter allows for minimally invasive surgery and avoidance of piriformis fossa disruption
Available in widths of 5.5mm and 6.5mm, for patients under 100lbs, and over 100lbs, respectively. This smaller shaft diameter allows the nail to flex and dynamize, allowing for increased callous healing
Nail comprised of titanium alloy for greater flexibility and customization
Interlocks distally (at bulb) and proximally (at insertional interface) for stability
Unique 4mm interlocking pilot tipped screws with two thread sizes-proximal and distal for greater strength and cortical purchase
Single tray of ergonomically designed instrumentation
