The Uniflex® Humeral Nail System has been designed to treat certain difficult humerus fractures in which noninvasive treatments have historically failed to give predictable results:
- Humerus fracture in poly-trauma, especially head injury
- Floating elbow
- Segmental Fracture
- Humerus fracture with nerve, vessel or soft tissue injury which requires operation
- Humerus fracture mal-union
- Metastatic disease of the humerus
Key product features
- Strength and biocompatibility of titanium-alloy construction
- Proximal and distal interlocking using a radiolucent nail-mounted targeting device
- 5º proximal bend and pathfinder tip for ease of insertion
- Four proximal and two distal locking screws provide more torsional and rotational control
- Two A/P and Two L/M proximal screws for maximum implant flexibility to stabilize high shaft fractures. Utilize 3 or 4 screws for soft bone or capture fractures of the lesser tuberosity
- Cannulated for insertion over a guide wire - easier to reduce fracture, less chance for lateral cutout
- Round design, highly polished finish for ease of insertion and extraction
